Though stimulation of the central nervous system, we help you reconnect with your body to help guide you on you journey of healing and overall wellbeing.

The acupuncture process consists of the gentle insertion of very fine sterile needles at specific points on the body (over 400 points). This process stimulates the movement of energy within the body and allows natural healing to take place by releasing chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain.

Each session includes a personalized acupuncture treatment tailored to you. We take time to listen to your journey and capture your medical history. We conduct a thorough assessment to diagnose and create a plan that makes sense for you and your health concerns.

Our office is located at #401-815 Hornby Street in Vancouver, B.C. If you are arriving for a session after 5:00pm please use the buzzer on the left side of the doors and key in #1614 and one of our admin team members will buzz you in. I have gained over seven years of clinical experience treating a diverse range of patients while applying a variety of treatment techniques through my experience in San Jose (USA), Calgary (CA), and most recently from London (UK). I am inspired and intrigued by the physical functional abilities of the human body and have developed effective treatment methods with specific chiropractic techniques that can help my patients achieve a healthy natural lifestyle.

I like to focus on sustainability, strengthening and preventive care with my patients. I believe it is key to carefully consider each person’s clinical presentation and create a treatment plan that values and considers each patients own unique health history, lifestyle, and goals.

I value the importance of investigating the root issue in any musculoskeletal problem in order to achieve the best results. I am proud to be a part of the health and wellness community, I truly love what I do!

Outside of work I love to travel, attend workout classes, try new restaurants, and spend time in nature with my family and friends.

Wellness is a lifetime practice. My vision is that through offering attuned connection and restorative touch we restore our nature. A former actress and dancer, I have also been in the wellness industry for most of my life, receiving my first degree in reiki when I was only 11 years old. I have practiced yoga for over 20 years and taught since 2012. I teach across Canada, the UK, and France, and I hold several certifications, including Hatha, Restorative, Yin, & Yoga Nidra, along with Mindfulness and Meditation. Yoga led me to study Ayurveda, and the incredible benefits it offers to our daily and seasonal routines. I have been on both sides of the practitioner/client relationship, having experienced bouts of chronic and recurrent pain throughout my life. Having gone through my own searching for modalities that would provide relief, this has made me deeply passionate about reciprocity and caring for others on their healing journey. It has fuelled a fascination with the nervous system, which I believe it is the gateway to our mental and physical wellbeing. When we feel safe and seen, real integrated healing can happen…and stick. Through Ayurvedic head massage, I seek to attune the nervous system for your overall wellness. Relaxation and rest are key to a well balanced life.

Patients describe Elise as an empathetic and compassionate practitioner and appreciate her gentle needle technique. Inspired by the way TCM acupuncture promotes overall wellness instead of solely combating disease, her focus is on treating the underlying factors contributing to imbalance for sustainable relief, helping patients focus on the fundamentals of health: nourishing food, movement, quality of sleep and rest, mindfulness and breathwork practice.

Elise grew up in the lower mainland and obtained her BA at UBC before moving abroad for many years. Upon returning to Canada, she studied four years of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver and completed a series of National Board Exams to earn her licence through the CTCMA. Her passion for learning has included a variety of post graduate studies with renowned experts in the the field, including an internship focussed on women’s health and fertility. Keen to understand the common ground between Traditional Chinese Medicine and bio-medical paradigms, she is a member of the Society for Acupuncture Research.

Since completing her education, she has worked in a variety of settings including corporate healthcare, community acupuncture and private clinics, and has successfully treated children and adults of diverse backgrounds in all phases of life. She is experienced in a wide range of modalities including acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, guasha, dietary therapy and breath-work. Botanical medicine is another of Elise’s passions and she has worked since 2018 in a herbal apothecary.

Elise is fascinated by the human body’s resilience and how its strong self-repair system kicks into gear when this ancient treatment is performed. She incorporates current research and evidence-based approaches along with empirically-based approaches from the classics to provide exceptional quality of care.

Born on the Saskatchewan prairies, I spent a lot of time outside, immersed in the natural world. I had an innate curiosity for the way things worked - especially the human body in its infinite complexity. When my father was diagnosed with diabetes I intuitively felt there was so much more we could do before turning to medications. By improving his diet and making small changes to his lifestyle, he was able to regulate his blood sugar and avoid pharmaceuticals for many years, which shocked and impressed his doctors.

While I was already interested in nutrition and health, empowering my father to take charge of his own wellbeing changed my perspective on what wellness really means. When I learned of Naturopathic Medicine and how it seeks to address the root cause of illness and not just symptoms, something clicked. Every human body is striving for equilibrium: by treating the whole person and removing barriers to optimal function, I believe everyone can experience health in balance.

Connecting with patients and providing them with the resources to own their health journey is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my practice. I work with each patient individually to improve foundations of health starting with small but profound changes so that these shifts can amplify to benefit future health and prevent disease. I welcome all questions so you fully understand the inner workings of your body and treatment.

I consider myself a humble guide in your health journey and acknowledge that each patient arrives in my office at different states of readiness so I work with you to determine the best treatment plan for results.

I look forward to supporting you!

Hello there,

I am delighted to be here at Latitude Wellness. My name is Tracy Marshall and I came to Canada 8 years ago from Ireland. I previously worked for the Scottish and Irish governments in the Public Health, Health Promotion and Food Safety Departments. My degree is a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health.

My passion is helping people to feel, understand and see the magic within and around our human bodies. That magic based on frequency and vibrational energy exchanges that happen daily within and around us. Every day we exchange energy with others. I work on 4 levels of connection with each person as an individual. That’s why if you ask me for a plan, I cannot give you one. As your plan as an individual is unique to you.

My sessions are not about you coming to me for healing. They are about you coming back home to yourself. That means, your peace, your comfort and your recognition of the authentic person that is within you. All of the harsh energy, the mistakes, misunderstandings, the traumas, the stories within your lineage, the distractions of the outside world, other people, all play a part in creating resistance to truly connecting with you. And I am here to teach you, using techniques that are created in a simple way for you as an individual.

In my own journey, I realized that I had everything in life, living in my home country Ireland, a great government job, many good friends and family, lots of time to travel etc. However, there was one thing missing. A lack of a true connection to myself. And that manifested in an injury for me. My body was attempting to communicate something to me. I was being asked to listen. To check in and to recognise what I truly needed in my life.

In 2011, I herniated a disc in my back. I felt let down by my body. I felt a lot of pain. I felt not supported. The regular medical route was helpful to a basic degree; however, the pain medications were not working for me and I knew that there had to be an alternative. So, I started my research and found chiropractic and osteopathy which helped, but only to a certain level. My intuition told me there was something else that I needed.

A friend of a friend suggested that I go see a “Healer”. I was reluctant at first given my science background. This to me was an indication of a slight resistance. However, I really wanted to feel better. I plucked up the courage to see Brian McCullen, a Reiki Master, who within 3 sessions, helped to guide me to about 70% reduction in pain levels. Over 3 years, I trained with Brian and became a Reiki Master in 2015.

I love my work and to get an opportunity to work with all different types of people has been a privilege. Empowering people as they journey through cancer treatment has been one of the many highlights of my practice, as well as working with healthcare workers on their own journeys. It warms my heart to see the missing pieces fall into place. My belief is that everyone has the ability to feel better: what’s in the way, well, that is what we look at. Everyone’s journey is unique and individual. And that’s the first hurdle to cross. You are the person who gets to lead the session and go at your own pace.

(I work with all types of people at all stages of life. Young children up to the elderly. Once the person is open and gives permission, I can work with them)
